Cameron,
I ordered a Adaptec UW 2940 card in hopes that I would get my G3/333 to
boot LinuxPPC with the UW hard drive and BootX. There still seems to be
some bug under the latest kernel and have been unsuccessfull to do so.
Works great with and IDE drive ...
I also have an ANS 500 and I am also hoping to get it up and running with
the same PCI card as soon as the kernel has been fixed.

The 2.1.125 kernel I released included a new version of the aic7xxx
driver for the adaptec card (from the maintainer of the driver), and
there appears to be an endianness issue with it. I hope it will be
resolved soon.
Paul.
