OK, well the dusers source code includes support for a
'NCR53C8XX' as opposed to the 'NCR53C7,8xx' which is in the normal
kernels.. where does this come from? I've been trying to use the CVS tree
from vger - but that doesn't include a NCR53C8XX SCSI driver.. I'm
assuming this driver will fix the problems that I report below -
WHERE IS THE OFFICIAL LOCATION OF THE PPC KERNELS? I have been assuming
it's on vger since the file pub/linuxppc/kernel/Readme reports:
--- This is the last readme file I will ever make. You have reached the end of the earth. The following links here go to the various PowerPC kernel sources.
vger the current place to get the kernel. Look here first.
kernel.org Where Linus' kernel tree is. Where the vger and other tree's need all the things ultimatly integrated into.
2.0 the original 2.0 Linux kernel for the powerpc ported by gary thomas where it started.
2.1 the 2.1 kernel where support was added for the powermac by paul mackerras
NMT more of the integration of the PREP and powermac sources by cort dugan.
---so where is the right place to get kernels from???
nm
