OK, I FINALLY got a kernel that compiles, supports the internal
SCSI+ethernet AND has a working mknod... it doesn't have proper colors yet
if someone can tell me what the work around for the color stuff is
I'll try and compile it in.. I've put a copy at
ftp://ftp.ixa.net/pub/linux/ppc/vmlinux.nikm.gz if anyone needs it..
I am now using the internal drive as root, but I cannot boot off of it..
trying to boot with 'boot scsi-int/trying to boot with 'boot scsi-int/sd@2,0:vmlinux root=/dev/sda3' gives:
0 > boot scsi-int/0 > boot scsi-int/sd@2,0:vmlinux root=/dev/sda3
scsi-int/scsi-int/sd@2,0:vmlinux bad partition number, using 0Second-stage QUIK loader
Couldn't open /bandit/Couldn't open /bandit/53c825@11/Couldn't open /bandit/53c825@11/sd@2,0
can someone who's booting successfully off of their internal disk mail me
the output from the command:
nvsetenv
??
thanks.
nm
