I grabbed the source from hellfire and it compiled just great on my ANS 700
w/48MB of RAM. Everything is working (as before) with my homegrown-2.2.1 and
proper video too! SCSI works fine (I'm booting up off of an internal SCSI
drive with quik), the video has the right colors (I did notice some
horizontal static on the screen as KDE was starting up and periodically
during - I only had kde started for less than a minute so I don't know if it
continued to give some static).

How do we get these changes into the normal linux kernel? I would rather not
have to patch the kernel every time an update comes out. It would be nice
not to be a bastard-stepchild with this ANS any longer and to be finally
included - I feel so left out.... ;-)

David - thanks a ton man!

If anyone is having a hard time getting the source or kernel from hellfire,
I've got them mirrored here:

<ftp://ans.odi.ca//pub/linux-pmac-2.2.1.ans.tgz>
<ftp://ans.odi.ca//pub/vmlinux_2.2.1.cirrus.gz>
