Hello All,
I stumbled accross a very cool program again recently, it's called lcdproc
and it is designed to draw pretty graphs, stats, load info, etc on an lcd
display the size of that on the front of the ans. It's free and runs under
linux.

The homepage is at:

http://lcdproc.omnipotent.net/

Unfortunately lcd proc is designed for lcd displays connected via the
serial ports and other means, certainly not the apple network servers
onboard display.

I am more of a power user than a hacker and so i am clueless as to how to
go about modifying this program to work with the ans, however I have posted
this incase some brighter individual felt like taking up the challenge.

I see no reason why the program cannot be modified to write to the
addresses in memory where the lcd lives (which i believe were made public
in the ans hardware dev notes).

Ideas anyone?

Erik

that cockroaches are far more numerous than humans, and that numbers
alone do not denote a higher life form."
