I recompiled both the 2.2.4 and 2.2.7 kernel, but admittedly used the
2.2.6-pmac kernel that ships with R5 only to get to the point where I
could compile the 2.2.7 kernel.
However, things seemed to work out of the chute, and I didn't encounter
problems with the compilation or anything related booting the rebuilt
kernel. (Sometimes, it's at least good to know it's -possible-..)
