Aaron,

That was my entire point, get it into the Linux/PPC tree.

You have the reference release which arguably can be called the
"Linux/PPC distribution" (Note the differance between
the port called "Linux/PPC" and the vendor "LinuxPPC, Inc")

There are several companies that have PowerPC Linux distributions,
two of which are YellowDog Linux <http://www.yellowdoglinux.com>
and LinuxPPC Inc <http://www.linuxppc.com>

Both YDL and L/PPC Inc have access to the tree, so either of
these can get your patches added to the "real" linux tree, as
they both work from the same "reference" release.

I mentioned YDL as they seemed to be more ANS friendly.
