Kevin,
I had problems with the IBM DFHSS4W that came with my ANS. I couldn't
get it to work at all with LinuxPPC R4, and gave up on it. During
startup of the ncr53c825a, I'd get an infinite loop of scsi errors
starting with M_REJECT. That drive got fried because of a bad power
cable, and I never got to try it with LinuxPPC '99 or kernel 2.2.x
I've had good luck with Quantum drives though. I've got a 50-pin 4GB
Fireball, and a 68-pin 18GB Atlas III in my ANS, and they're working as
expected.
Hope this helps,
kris
