Hello,
I've been fooling around with the 2.3.X series lately and decided to try
and get it working with my ANS 700. Interestingly enough it wasn't
much work! I merged the patches for the ANS from 2.2.14 to the
2.3.41-pre3 tree and have them available if anyone wants them. There were
a few changes that needed to be made to the video driver to get that to
compile and a few minor changes to the patches elsewhere. I do seem to
have problems with the ANS LCD device though so its not 100% yet.
As I was working on this, I saw that kernel 2.3.41-pre4 was released
(about four times the size of 2.3.41-pre3). I may see what's new in that.
I've thrown together a page at http://user.pa.net/~myer/ans/ with links to
a kernel, System.map, the patches, as well as my .config file I used to
compile the kernel.
If anyone has any questions or problems, let me know. This is the first
time I've ever released a patch publicly and if anyone has any problems
(or solutions to problems I've created), I'd appreciate knowing about it.
